The West Oil and Gas Production Company of Iran extracted 12.7 million barrels of crude oil during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - September 21, 2020), Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to Hatami, the West Oil and Gas Production Company extracted an average of 68,300 barrels of crude oil daily from the Cheshmeh Khosh, Danan, Dehloran, Sarkan, Maleh Kouh, Naft Shahr and Sumar oil fields.

“In addition, the company extracted daily 5.2 million cubic meters of gas from Tang-e-Bijar gas field,” he added.

The director emphasized that a total of about 967 million cubic meters of gas was extracted from the Tang-e-Bijar gas field over six months of current Iranian year.

The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company has 84 oil and gas fields. And three companies - West Oil & Gas Production Company, South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company, East Oil & Gas Production are operating under the auspices of the ICOFC.

As reported, the ICOFC extracted 55.8 million barrels of crude oil, more than 89.8 billion cubic meters of gas, over the past 16 months (March 21, 2019, to July 21, 2020).
