Iran's Dena Petrochemical Company signs contract to support domestic production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 20

Iran's Dena Petrochemical Company has signed a contract with local manufacturers worth more than 1 trillion rials (about $23.8 million) in order to support domestic production in the current Iranian year of (March 21, 2020, through March 20, 2021), the Executive Director of the company Mohammad Ali Karimian said, Trend reports citing Iranian Sepehr Energy Holding’s website.

The director stressed that under the agreement, a number of equipment weighing more than 2,000 tons will be produced domestically.

“The contract will support domestic production, prevent the outflow of foreign currency and create sustainable employment,” Karimian added.

Reportedly, Iran's Dena Petrochemical Company was established under Sepehr Energy Holding. The company's plant will be launched in 2023 and will produce 1.65 million tons of methanol per year. Thus, the annual production of Sepehr Energy Holding will increase by 3.3 million tons.
