Azerbaijan's SOCAR Polymer significantly increased export of products in 2021, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications told Trend.
According to the center, this figure amounted to $252.2 million, up by $150.1 million (2.5 times) compared to 2020.
Last year, SOCAR Polymer became one of the leaders in the export sector in Azerbaijan.
Construction of SOCAR Polymer plants has become the first large-scale project in the petrochemical industry of Azerbaijan over the past 40 years.
The company’s production facilities consist of two plants: one for production of Polypropylene (PP), and the other – producing High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), located in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. They were commissioned in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
