BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. A dialogue with interested companies is planned to be started for building a wind power plant with an installed capacity of 100 MW in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar-Lachin zone [covering Kalbajar and Lachin districts liberated from Armenian occupation in the 2020 second Karabakh war], Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov told Trend.

According to Soltanov, along with this, by the end of May 2022, bp and the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan are expected to sign a contract for the construction of a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 240 MW in the Zangilan-Jabrayil zone.

"The details of this project and its implementation are being discussed with bp. It’s planned to start construction of the power plant this year," the deputy minister said.
