BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 5. Azerbaijan is a country with one of the lowest prices for diesel fuel, Trend reports citing data from the Global Petrol Prices (GPP) portal.
According to the portal, as of August 29, 2022, the price of diesel fuel in Azerbaijan was 47 cents per liter.
The cheapest diesel fuel in the world is in Iran (one cent per liter) and the most expensive - in Zimbabwe ($2.78 per liter).
Along with Iran, the top five countries with the cheapest diesel fuel included Venezuela, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Algeria.
The top 10 countries with the most expensive diesel fuel are Albania, Belgium, the UK, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Hong Kong and Zimbabwe.
Different prices for diesel fuel in the countries of the world are due to different types of fuel taxes and subsidies.
