BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. Iran's Salman Farsi Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) plant is planned to be commissioned in the next Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), head of the mentioned plant Hossein Zamani said, Trend reports citing Iran’s National Petrochemical Company’s website.
Zamani said that in this regard, a number of problems such as financial and technical should be overcome.
The official added that there is currently a 67-percent physical progress in the construction of the PDH plant, which is being built for the first time in the country.
“After launch, the annual propylene production capacity of the plant will be 450,000 tons,” he noted.
In addition, the launch of the mentioned PDH plant will allow preventing the sale of propane as raw, as well as will allow selling the final product domestically and export, according to Zamani.
Reportedly, the construction of Salman Farsi PDH plant began in 2010.
