BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. Azerbaijan has restored vast oil-contaminated lands in 2022, a source familiar with the matter told Trend.
The Azneft production union has recultivated 27.07 hectares of oil-contaminated areas, while the Balakhani Oil Company has rehabilitated 12.94 hectares of such territories.

The volume of oil production in Azerbaijan stood at 24.9 million tons in 2022.
Proven recoverable and expected oil-condensate reserves in Azerbaijan stand at 2.54 billion tons.
More than 65 percent of oil production in Azerbaijan account for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields.
