BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Circa 22,500 tons of various hydrocarbon products will be on sale at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) on August 7, Trend reports.
Of the mentioned volume, about 11,000 tons will be on sale on the domestic floor of the energy exchange.
The following goods are to be offered:
- Iranian Zagros Petrochemical Company’s 2,800 tons of methanol;
- Shiraz Petrochemical Company’s 1,700 tons of methanol;
- Fannavran Petrochemical Company’s 1,510 tons of methanol;
- Marjan Petrochemical Company’s 1,500 tons of methanol;
- Bushehr Petrochemical Company’s 1,000 tons of methanol;
- Kaveh Methanol Company’s 700 tons of methanol;
- Shimibaft Petrochemical Company’s 600 tons of MTBE;
- Jam Petrochemical Company’s 500 tons of heavy distillate;
- Esfahan Steel Company’s 300 tons of tar;
- Tabriz Petrochemical Company’s 250 tons of mazut, 60 tons of pentane and 60 tons of liquid nitrogen products.
At the same time, 11,500 tons of products will be on sale on the international floor of the IRENEX:
- Iranian Persian Gulf Star Oil Company’s 10,500 tons of white oil;
- Shimibaft Petrochemical Company’s 1,000 tons of MTBE products.
Meanwhile, the value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) stood at approximately 10.6 trillion rials (about $25.6 million) during the last Iranian week (July 22 through July 26, 2023), which is a decrease of 68.5 percent compared to the preceding week (July 22 through July 26, 2023).
The products at Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) are sold at the SANA exchange rate.
The SANA system is a system introduced by the Central Bank of Iran to the currency exchange offices, where the price of 1 euro is 453,678 rials and the price of $1 is 413,354 rials.
The sale of hydrocarbon products at the Iran Energy Exchange is of great importance to the country’s economy. Through the energy exchange, Iran seeks to provide hydrocarbon products needed by local companies as well as increase exports.
