BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Company (IOPTC) distributed over 102 billion liters of crude oil and related products to various refineries, plants, and power plants in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023), an official of the company Moslem Moslemi said, Trend reports.

“Of the mentioned volume, 53 billion liters accounted for crude oil and about 49.3 billion liters accounted for various petroleum products,” he added.

Within 9 months, 2.52 billion liters of fuel were sent to the thermal power plants connected to the country's oil and petroleum products pipelines, Moslemi also said.

The country’s oil refineries produce crude oil, which is then processed into petroleum products. These products, along with the fuel from petrochemical and nuclear power plants, are supplied without interruption.

In total, 131 billion liters of crude oil and petroleum products were transported within Iran over the Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), which is an increase of 2.2 percent compared to the previous year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Company transports crude oil and petroleum products to the country's oil refineries and consumption points through more than 14,000 kilometers of pipelines in the country.
