Azneft Producing Unit (PU) on extracting oil and gas under the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) completes drilling of the gas well from the Gyuneshli-13 platform.
The wells design depth is about 3000 meters. The wells production rate will be defined after its drilling accomplishment, SOCAR told Trend.
Earlier SOCAR suspended the oil well drilling from this platform until receiving interpretation of the 3-D seismic data, which SOCAR is going to conduct for the first time on the Gyuneshli shallow water part. Drilling will be resumed later.
10 wells are planned to drill from the new platform: 2 of them are oil production ones and 8 gas wells. The platform construction is performed by the SOCAR trust Khazardenizneftgaztikinti in 2004. It started after the platforms upper structures were sent from Russia, being there since early 1990s.
