AIOC considerably increases oil export in 1st quarter of 2006

In the 1st quarter of 2006 the Azerbaijan International Operational Company (AIOC) developing the off-shore block Azeri-Chirag Gyuneshli (ACG) exported 4,037m tons oil of the Azeri Light brand from the contract area or which is for 22,186m tons more as compare 2005.

In the 1st quarter of 2006 1,729 m tons of oil was transported via the Baku-Supsa pipeline (the western route) against 1,715m tons in 2005, while 993,300 tons of oil fell to the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline (the northern route) against 136,000 tons in 2005, AIOC told Trend. The Company shipped 1,315m tons of oil in the Georgian direction - the Batumi port over this period.

In March 2006 AIOC transported 1,456m tons or 780,800 tons more as compared 2005. A total of 595,313,000 tons fell to the Baku-Supsa pipeline against 590,000 tons in 2005, 337,065,000 tons - Baku-Novorossiysk against 86,000 in 2005, Baku-Batumi route 524,267,000 tons.
