Vagit Alekperov, President of the Russian oil giant LUKoil has stated during the today`s pres-conference that he remains being a stockholder of the bank Nikoil. And the reduction in the my share holding in the capital of the bank Nikoil is linked with the fact that both consultants and analysts recommend me to focus my attention on the activity of LUkoil on production, refining, and purchasing of petroleum products, and do not have an influence on the activity of financial structures, said Mr. Alekperov.
My share has been kept at the rate of 7 percent. However, my assets are in this bank, and I am a stockholder of the bank. Nikoil is a strategic partner of our company both in Azerbaijan and Russia. Many enterprises, the whole regions are served by this bank, pointed out the President of LUKoil.
I either withdraw from the share capital or reduce my shareholding in the structures that are not connected with our business. All the enterprises where LUKoil me have participated is still working stable. The Company has taken a strategic decision to concentrate on our main activity. And all our non-profile assets singling out from the structure of our company - drilling, transport, and fleet are sold to new owners on the basis of competition. However, the Company, as a rule, has stroke these contracts on a long-term period with a guarantee that we shall be served at the same level and quality our company provided them. That gives us a possibility to buy new means and equipment, as well as to work in the market on a competitive basis with those who suggest better conditions, not isolating themselves in service providing within the company, told Mr. Alekperov.
