The parties to the project on the main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) jointly with SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) are negotiating with the company ChevronTexaco concerning an issue on a possible carrying the oil of the American company which it produces from Kazakhstan's largest oil field Tengiz via the BTC pipeline, Rashid Javanshir, Executive Director of BTC Co, told, Trend reports.
According to him, the negotiations are going on positively. ChevronTexaco is about to carry some 5-6 mln. tons of oil via the territory of Azerbaijan in 2007. The company has already started its work on a contract with Azerbaijan's State Caspian Shipping Company on shipping these oil consignments by tankers via the Caspian Sea.
