Azerenerji Carries Out Communications for Construction of Module Power Station

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend / Azerenerji, an energy company of Azerbaijan, a South Caucasus country, is responsible for liquidating the water supply line and two 6KWof electricity transmission lines within the framework of the construction of a 300mW module power station in Sangachal. Once the work is completed this will be passed on to the Finnish construction contractor company, Wartsila, Azerenerji announced

The construction work which will be carried out jointly with Wartsila is scheduled to be completed by late 2008. By the end of the year there are plans to develop three new module power grids. The remainder of the modules will be commissioned in 2008.

Azerenerji and Wartsila signed a contract on the construction of a new module power grid in Sumgayit with a capacity of 300MW. The Swiss-Swedish company ABB will also play a part in the construction work which is scheduled to be completed by September 2008.

Wartsila introduced new technology to intensify the process of switching the module power station in Sangachal from gas to mazut and vice versa. Previously the transition took 24 hours and currently only takes 30 minutes.

The construction of energy generating power in Sangachal is needed for high quality and uninterrupted electricity provision of the Absheron peninsular.
