Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / Azerigaz CJSC (Azerbaijani gas distributing company) received AZN 31mln from the gas distributed to the public in the 1st half of 2007, which is AZN 11mln more than in the same period of 2006, the Deputy Chairman of the company, Nazim Samadzadeh, reported.
According to Samadzadeh, the total number of collections made up 60% and collections from the public comprised 52.5%. The total collection from subscribers increased by 20% compared to last year and from the public it increased two-fold. In July, collections from the public made up 90%.
During the 1st half of 2007 the number of subscribers of Azerigaz increased by 56,000. Some 96.5% of subscribers have been provided with gas meters.
