Kazakhs' incomes increase significantly

At the end of the third quarter of 2018, the average money income of the population of Kazakhstan amounted to 160,400 tenge. This is an increase of 9.7 percent compared to the same period last year (146,200 tenge), Trend reports with reference to Finprom.kz.

This is the highest income growth in the last 5 years. Over the past five years, household incomes increased by an average of 8 percent year-on-year.

As of the end of September 2018, Almaty residents received the highest income: an average of 226,000 tenge, an increase of 5.5 percent year-on-year. The Top-3 also includes Astana and Mangystau region: 217,700 and 193,500 tenge, respectively.

The largest increase in the income of the population is observed in the Mangystau region: by 15.2 percent, from 168,000 to 193,500 tenge. Also, incomes of residents of Atyrau and Kyzylorda regions increased by 14.4 and 14.3 percent, respectively.

The main source of income of the population is traditionally the income from employment (118,700 tenge, or 74 percent of the total income). In the reporting period, the average monthly salary of Kazakhstan population increased by 9.3 percent year-on-year.
