Kazakh banks' liabilities increase 5%

The total volume of liabilities of second-tier banks of Kazakhstan in 2018 increased by 5.2 percent and amounted to 22.2 trillion tenge, Trend reports via Ranking.kz.

The volume of deposits, in turn, increased by only 2.2 percent to 17 trillion tenge.

The biggest increase in liabilities was observed at Halyk Bank - which absorbed QazKom - by 3.4 trillion tenge to 7.6 trillion tenge. ForteBank is the second with an increase of 269.9 billion tenge to 1.6 trillion tenge and Bank CenterCredit is the third with an increase of 207.2 billion tenge to 1.4 trillion tenge.

In general, out of the 28 second-tier banks of Kazakhstan, 25 had growth of liabilities. The banks whose liabilities decreased are the National Bank of Pakistan (by 205.2 million tenge), AsiaCredit Bank (by 41.1 billion tenge) and Tsesnabank (by 443 billion tenge).
