Azerbaijan sees growth in money supply

The Money Supply Rate (М2) in Azerbaijan made up nearly $16.5 billion manat ($9.7 billion) as of May 1, 2020, which is 10.1 percent more compared to the period as of May 1, 2019, Trend reports referring to the statistical bulletin of Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the bulletin, the amount of Cash Money Supply (M0) increased by 11.9 percent to 8.7 billion manat ($5.1 billion), Broad Money Supply (M3) grew by 7.4 percent up to nearly 26.3 billion manat ($15.5 billion), and Transaction money (M1) - by 14.3 percent, up to 14.1 billion manat ($8.1 billion).

M2 = M1 + fixed-term deposits.

M3 = M2 + savings deposits, state bonds.
