The balance of bank loans in Iran increased by 35.2 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
The balance of deposits also increased by 36 percent over the 6 months, compared to the same period of the last Iranian year.
The following table presents the balance of loans, foreign currency deposits of banks and financial institutions for the reported six-month period, according to the official exchange rate ($1=42,000 rials):
