Iran declares amount of foreign investment in Razavi Khorasan Province

A total of $129 million worth of foreign investments have been made in the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Deputy Governor of Razavi Khorsan Province Morteza Ashrafi said, Trend reports citing the governor office’s website.

Ashrafi stressed that these investments have been made on the setting up of 57 facilities.

"The plans of foreign investors for the setting up of 20 more facilities have been sent to the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI) for approval," he added.

According to the deputy governor, investors from Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, Hong Kong, Lebanon, France, Germany and Turkey received licenses to invest within the last Iranian year.

Ashrafi noted that 250 foreign companies in Razavi Khorasan Province are owned by Afghan businessmen. So, 700 Afghan investors have invested in Razavi Khorasan Province.

The deputy governor also said that Afghan businessmen have appealed to establish an association of Afghan businessmen in Razavi Khorasan Province. This issue will be researched.
