The average monthly nominal salary of employees of various enterprises in Uzbekistan in 1Q2021 amounted to 2.87 million soums ($2,720), which is 11.3 percent more compared to the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, the highest level of average monthly wages was observed in financial and insurance activities, amounting to 6.46 million soums ($612), as well as information and communication - 4.83 million soums ($457).
At the same time, the lowest average nominal salary was observed in the spheres of education - 2.24 million soums ($212), healthcare and the provision of social services - 2.04 million soums ($193).
Average monthly wages of industrial workers for 3M2021 amounted to $348 (increase of 3.9 percent compared to 3M2020), trade workers – $271 (13.7 percent), construction workers – $340 (17.6 percent)
It is also reported that the highest growth rate of average monthly wages of employees of enterprises in 3M2021 compared to 3M2020 in the structure of regions of Uzbekistan was observed in Tashkent, amounting to 14.1 percent, while the lowest was recorded in the Karakalpakstan Republic - 6.9 percent.
The average monthly wage includes allowances, remuneration, incentive payments, compensation payments and remuneration for free time, as well as income tax withheld from individuals and contributions to the union fund. At the same time, agriculture and small business are not taken into account in the report of the State Statistics Committee.
According to the Decree of the President on measures to ensure the implementation of the Law of Uzbekistan on the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2021, from February 1, 2021, the minimum wage amounts to 747,300 soums ($70.8).
