Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan raises investments in fixed assets

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17

As much as 293.7 million manat ($172.7 million) was invested in fixed assets from all financial sources of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from January through April 2021, which is 1.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.

As reported, the GDP of Nakhchivan in the specified period increased by 0.7 percent on an annual basis and amounted to 758.8 million manat ($446.3 million).

In the first quarter of 2021, over 2.36 billion manat ($1.38 billion) were allocated to fixed assets from all financial sources for the development of the socio-economic sphere of Azerbaijan, which is 19.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2020.
