Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) and Turkmenistan have signed 2 agreements, Trend reports with reference to Trade Arabia Business News Information.
Иoth agreements are worth $99.91 million.
“The first agreement includes the allocation of AED275 million ($74.9 million) towards the construction of an airport in Jebel in Balkan Region, whereas the second agreement aims to finance the development of a 10 megawatts hybrid power plant at a cost of AED92 million (over $25 million),” said the report.
According to the report the two agreements were signed by Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD, and Rahimberdy Jepbarov, Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Earlier, Turkmenistan and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund noted the importance of intensifying cooperation on attracting investment in the country's oil and gas projects.
As reported, Turkmenistan will make efforts for long-term and effective cooperation with the UAE.
Turkmenistan and the UAE have close diplomatic relations. Thus, companies from the UAE are significantly represented in the Turkmen energy market.
