Post Bank of Iran sees increase in revenues

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 18

The revenues of the Post Bank of Iran increased by 66 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of the bank Behzad Shiri said, Trend reports citing the bank’s website.

The director noted that the revenues of bank for the reporting period amounted to more than 21 trillion rials (about $500 million).

“In addition, the bank's expenses for 6 months, increased by 50 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year and amounted to more than 16 trillion rials (about $381 million),” he added.

Shiri also said that the amount of loans issued by Post Bank of Iran increased by 50 percent in six months, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Reportedly, the Post Bank of Iran has 6,500 branches in the country.
