BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. The total payments of 10 Azerbaijani leading insurance companies amounted to 229.07 million manat ($134.75 million) or 95 percent of total insurance payments from January through July 2022, Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to CBA, the list of top 10 companies in terms of payments was headed by PASHA Life, which accounted for 49.49 percent of payments for the reporting period.
The company's payments amounted to 119.3 million manat ($70.18 million) in the first seven months of 2022.
PASHA Insurance with total insurance payments of 41.58 million manat or $24.4 million (17.25 percent of all payments) ranked second, and Xalq Insurance with payments of 14.48 million manat or $8.52 million (6.01 percent of all payments) - third.
Total payments of all insurance companies in Azerbaijan amounted to 241.1 million manat ($141.8 million) from January through July this year.
