BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. In total, 3.02 million tons of goods worth about 220 trillion rials (about $5.23 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (September 17 through September 22, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of about 25.7 percent in value and 18.8 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (September 10 through September 15, 2022).

So, about 2.54 million tons of goods worth about 175 trillion rials (about $4.17 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

According to the report, more than 2.75 million tons of goods worth about 174 trillion rials (about $4.14 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section include cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, precious metals concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, about 245,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 42.7 trillion rials (about $1.02 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottoms, lube cuts, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.

At the same time, 27,000 tons of various products worth 3.17 trillion rials (about $75.5 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
