BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 20. According to the Iranian budget bill for the next Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), the salary of government employees is estimated to be increased by 20 percent, Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ehsan Khandouzi said at a press conference in Tehran on December 20, 2022, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Currently the average monthly salary of a government employee in Iran is 80 million rials (about $1,900) for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

Khandouzi said the government's reserves are presented as having increased by trillion rials (about $476 million) in the budget bill.

Paying attention to the Iranian government's work for the current year's budget during the 8 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), Khandouzi noted that the government's 8-month work shows that 80.5 percent of the expenditures have been realized, which is an increase of 56 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

"In 8 months, Iran's revenues from crude oil and gas condensate increased by 360 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year," he said, without mentioning value and volume of oil and gas condensate sold.

Speaking about the economic development of Iran, Khandouzi pointed out that in the summer season of the current Iranian year (June 22 through September 22, 2022), the growth in the country reached 3.6 percent.

“So, an 8.7-percent economic growth was recorded in the industrial sector, a 7.3- percent in the mining sector, a 10.4-percent in the oil and gas sectors, a 2.4-percent in the service sector, and a 0.8-percent in the agricultural sector,” he said.

Iran's budget bill for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023) amounting to 36.3 quadrillion rials (about 864 billion dollars) was approved by the country's parliament.

According the budget bill, the total budget revenues of the Iranian government are foreseen 15 quadrillion rials (about $358 billion) and the revenues of state-owned companies, state-owned enterprises and banks at 22.3 quadrillion rials (about $531 billion).
