BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. The Iranian government has increased the state budget by 44.5 percent in the budget bill for the next Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), compared to the current year’s budget (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Trend reports citing Iranian Plan and Budget Organization’s website.

According to the budget bill prepared by the Iranian government of Iran for next Iranian year, the overall state budget will be 52.6 quadrillion rials (about $1.25 trillion), while in the current year’s budget bill, the figure amounted to 36.3 quadrillion rials (about $864 billion).

The budget bill for the next Iranian year consists of two parts: The budget of state companies, banks, state-owned enterprises - about 31 quadrillion rials (about $737 billion), and the budget of general revenues - 21.6 quadrillion rials (about $515 billion).

On January 11, 2023, Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi submitted the next year's budget bill to the Iranian parliament for review and approval.
