BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 25. The credit portfolio of Azerbaijani banks totaled 19.669 billion manat ($11.57 billion) as of January 31, 2023, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the bank, this figure grew by 17.21 percent against the same period of 2022.
Thus, the banks' loan portfolio amounted to 16.78 billion manat ($9.87 billion) in January 2022.
Out of total loans, business loans accounted for 55.13 percent (10.845 billion manat ($6.38 billion), growth of 11.28 percent year over year), consumer loans – 29.54 percent (5.8 billion manat ($3.4 billion), growth of 25.86 percent), mortgage loans – 15.31 percent (3.01 billion manat ($1.77 billion), growth of 24.62 percent year over year) in the reporting month.
As of January 31, 2023, the total assets of banks amounted to 45.861 billion manat ($26.97 billion), while total liabilities stood at 40.2 billion manat ($23.6 billion).
