BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 11. The ongoing events at COP29 have been exceptionally informative, indigenous rights advocate Whitney Melinard told Trend on the sidelines of the event in Baku.
"I have attended many events at COP29, and they have truly been informative. I’m looking forward to more. Today, I also participated in one of them, which was a new experience for me," she said.
Melinard also mentioned her visit to the Blue Zone, where she toured the delegate pavilions, highlighting that all of them appeared impressive.
"I hope to learn as much as I can and look forward to the coming days. I am hopeful that small island nations, Caribbean countries, and indigenous peoples will succeed in securing climate finance," she added.
