BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 20. Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport has been awarded the Level 2 "ACI Certificate," Trend reports.
Olivier Jankovec, Director-General of ACI EUROPE, announced the development at a panel discussion on "Airport Climate Action Showcase Heydar Aliyev International Airport Spearheading Carbon Reduction in the Subregion" at COP29 in Baku.
"Heydar Aliyev International Airport has received the Level 2: Reduction certificate under the global Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program, established by the Airports Council International (ACI).
The certificate confirms that the airport has successfully reduced its carbon emissions compared to the previous three years, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development and minimizing its climate impact," Jankovec said.
