Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 March / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The Communication and IT Ministry of Azerbaijan will increase the number of institutes to train the students in the field of IT. The delegation of Ministry will pay a visit to the Yakin Dogu University in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, to get familiarized with the activities of the University and also for the further cooperation with the University.
"They held meeting with Yakin Dogu University and get familiarized with science laboratories of the communication and engineering, material-technical bases and training programs," the Ministry said.
There is a library in the University which has more than 55mln web sources, and more than 500,000 reading material and books.
In addition, there is a Supercomputer centre with accumulating capacity of 12 Tphlops and work is carried out to expand and turn the centre to an innovation centre.
There are plans to develop a line between the University and TUBITAK (The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey) to provide access to the centre for Turkish scientists. The speed for connection to the internet in the University comprises 30 Mbit/s.
The delegation members held negotiations with the University for the further prospect training of staff in the communication technologies.
At present, Communication Ministry of Azerbaijan has relations with the California University, San-Chose State University, George Mason University, Chalmersk Technology University in Goteborg, Asian Technology University in Thailand, Communication Academy in Odessa, Korean of Perspective Science Research and Technology Institute and various others.
