CATEL Introduces CDMA in Goychay
Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 June / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ Azerbaijani mobile network operator of CDMA standards - FONEX expanded its coverage zone to the Goychay town and its nearby villages. According to the company, setup of basis stations in Agstafa, Lankaran and Masalli regions will complete in near future.
FONEX, a trade mark of CATEL, entered mobile network market in April 2007. Its coverage zone includes Baku, Khirdalan, Sumgayit, Absheron, Ganja, Shamkir, Shirvan (Ali-Bayramli), Mingachevir, Kurdamir, Ujar, Balakan, Davachi, Nabran and Goychay.
CATEL have been providing 3G CDMA services since mid 2003 and CDMA was officially opened on 13 August 2004.
