Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 October / corr Trend S.Babayeva/ Preparation for a strategic draft agreement on cooperation between Microsoft corporation and Azerbaijani government is nearing to completion, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, said.
"We submitted them the draft agreement and they made changes in it and handed over us again," the ministry said.
The ministry had difficulty to name concrete terms of signing of the agreement.
"It is quite probable that signing will be possible after BakuTel-2008 international exhibition and conference, which will be held at the beginning of November," the Ministry of Communication said.
The issue of signing of agreement on strategic cooperation between Azerbaijani government and Microsoft was under discussions within the frames of the World economic forum in Davos between Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, and Kreyg Mandi, director on researches and strategy of Microsoft corporation. .
The issue on protection of intellectual property, legalization of software and realization of investment projects of Microsoft in Azerbaijan will be reflected in the agreement.
Microsoft Azerbaijan company (corporation's office in Azerbaijan) has been functioning since 2005. It targets to develop sowtfare market and advance company's production, support of partners and customers, as well as localization of corporation's modern technologies and realization of social projects in Azerbaijan.
