The institute regularly holds negotiations and exchange of opinions with companies offering both individual technologies and complex decisions to create biometric identification system. This includes ready-made solutions for checkpoints, passport registration offices, telecommunications solutions and equipments to prepare ID, microchips and etc. Proposals of companies are regularly submitted to consideration of the Cabinet of Ministers in accordance with a future announcement of the tender.

At present, a computer recognizes two lines in IDs and passports currently applied in Azerbaijan and that meets the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization. IDs of new generation contain microchips enabling to carry more detailed information about the holder. Every citizen of Azerbaijan will get its own ID and automatically enter the databases of the Interior and Security Ministries, Migration Services, Justice and Tax inspection.
