Production of a new generation ultrasonic water meter with e-information function will be launched in Azerbaijan, a source close to the project told Trend on May 3.
The production will be deployed by EPC Group, which will also develop a centralized control system for water meters.
The project evaluation was carried out by the Institute of Control Systems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Turkish company Euromet.
The meter system, using RF, GPRS and LoRaWAN technologies, was tested in the laboratory of the institute.
"The new generation ultrasonic water meters will be installed in one of the residential areas, where the number of users is at least 10,000,” the source said.
