In order to provide residents of the Kangarli district of the Azerbaijani Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with uninterrupted communication and internet access in the autumn-winter months, the Communications Department of the district created a special reserve, Trend reports citing Nakhchivan’s Ministry of Communications and New Technologies.

Over the past nine months of 2020, 88 new fixed telephone lines have been laid on the district, 384 subscribers are provided with the broadband internet ADSL technology (asymmetric digital subscriber line).

During the service life, prompt and necessary measures were taken to eliminate malfunctions in communication devices, and inoperable equipment was renewed," the message said.

The Ministry of Communications and New Technologies continues to work on expanding the coverage of broadband internet by introducing modern technologies at telephone exchanges, improving the quality of services.

During the events held by the ministry, special equipment was installed at the Central Automatic Telephone Station of Nakhchivan, which will speed up the internet in the Kangarli district.

“With the introduction of new technologies, the level of service is increasing every year, the material and technical base is being strengthened. The measures being implemented to modernize communications and information infrastructure in both urban and rural settlements create wide opportunities for effective use of these services by residents. In continuation of these events, a new administrative building of the Communication Department of the Kangarli district is being built in Gyrag village,” the ministry added.
