Uzbektelecom expanding capacity of IPSS

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on approval of the main technical and economic parameters of the feasibility study of the project on expanding the capacity of the international packet switching service (IPSS) of Uzbektelecom JSC, Trend reports referring to Norma information and legal portal.

The total cost of the project on expansion of the throughput of International Packet Switching Service of Uzbektelecom JSC amounts to $25,920.

The resolution took into account that according to the results of the selection, carried out in accordance with the procedure established in accordance with the terms of reference of the project, the US Winncom Technologies was named the winner.

Aside from the total cost, $5,973 will cover financial and other expenses during the investment period.

Meanwhile, $19,945 accounts for:

- expansion of the throughput of BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) and DPI (Deep packet inspection) devices of Uzbektelecom JSC - $4,974;

- expansion of the bandwidth of the data transmission network of Uzbektelecom JSC - $4,990;

- expansion of the throughput of international packet switching service of Uzbektelecom JSC - $4,985;

- purchases of machinery and equipment for expanding the throughput of rendering services in the core data transmission network of Uzbektelecom JSC - $4,996.

The resolution approved technical and economic parameters of the feasibility study, as well as the forecast schedule of repayment of the loan from Alokabank JSC for the project.

Uzbektelecom JSC is the executive body responsible for the targeted and effective use of the loan of Alokabank JSC. The costs associated with the return of the loan of Alokabank JSC and the accrued interest on it are carried out at the expense of the own funds of Uzbektelecom JSC.
