The Baku Telephone Communications Production Association (PA) plans to render new multimedia services, Beytulla Husseynov, the Director General of Baku Telephone Communication PA, told Trend.
According to Husseynov, they will hold a presentation of the multimedia services, including IP TV and broadband communications on base of newly-applied NGN (Next Generation Network) at the Khatayi Telecommunications Hub soon.
10,000 people use IP TV, 200 people - broadband communications. The speed of internet comprises 2 Mbit/Second.
The project is implemented by the Chinese Huawei.
The technology is a universal multipurpose network, designed for transmission of speech, image and data through using packet switching. The NGN network provides the quality of service necessary for different kinds of telecommunications traffic.
After application of the technology in Baku the subscribers can use services both VoIP-telephony, voice mail, IP-Centrex governed ATS, data transmission, multimedia services, virtual private networks, unified exchange of messages, immediate exchange of messages, interactive speech reply system, contact-center, interactive games, videoconference and home manager.
