From January to February Azerbaijan rendered communications services for 70.1m manats, or 26.5% more as compared 2005, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee.
A total of 24.5% of services fell to state enterprises, 75.5 % -private. The growth comprised 15.2% and 30.6 %. The same time services rendered to the population made up 78.2%.
Incomes received from mobile communications increased by 31.7% as compared 2005and reached 47.9m manats.
As to the communications in the Azerbaijani regions, there was also observed growth. The communication services in Absheron zone rose by 5.5%, Guba-Khachmaz - 11.1%, Shirvan - 11.7%, Shaki-Zagatala - 26.5%, Ganja-Gazakh - 37.1%, Nakhichevan - 6.4%, Lankaran - 9.9%.
As of 22 March 2006 official rate of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) US dollar in respect to manats was 0,9104 AZN.
