United Arab Emirates are willing to support Azerbaijan in progressing information-communication technologies (ICT), reportedly said Eldar Salimov, Azeri Ambassador to UAE, commenting official visit of Azeri Communication minister Ali Abbasov to this country.
At the meeting with Minister of State Sector Development Sultan bin Said al-Mansuri, the sides talked of cooperation in ICT sphere and agreed to establish a workgroup for this purpose. Besides, Azeri Minister visited Etisalat university college and talked with its executives on planned establishment of IT-university in Azerbaijan. He issues of establishment of techno-park in Azerbaijan were discussed with Mrs Salma Khareb, head of Dubai techno-park and Jebel Ali Free Zone, who expressed her readiness to help Azerbaijan.
Issues of mutual cooperation were also discussed with Mr Jamal Abdul Salam, head of Dubai Internet-town (within Dubai holding, which represents 190 worlds leading IT-companies).
