Iranian airline plans to start flights to Kazakhstan

Iranian Pouya Air airline plans to launch flights in the Aktau-Gorgan direction this year, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan's Industry and Infrastructural Development Ministry informed that active work is being carried out to ensure the transport accessibility of passenger air traffic between the regions of Kazakhstan and cities of neighboring countries.

"In particular, the Iranian Pouya Air airline has applied to the Civil Aviation Committee for accreditation of a foreign carrier in Kazakhstan. From the spring-summer 2019 season, the airline plans to start operating direct international flights in the Aktau-Gorgan direction for the first time," the сommittee said.

Flights are expected to be operated twice a week on Embraer-145.

The launch of flights will allow to develop further trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, as well as to increase the passenger traffic of Aktau International Airport.
