Turkmenistan will intensify cooperation with KAMAZ Group of Companies of Russia’s Tatarstan, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The issue was discussed during a videoconference that was held between Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia’s Tatarstan Albert Karimov.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of the Turkmenhimiya and Turkmennebit State Concerns, of the Turkmendenizderyayollary (Turkmen Sea and River Transportation) and Turkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen highways) agencies, as well as Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Atadurdy Bayramov.
The parties also noted the intensification of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatneft oil and gas company, Kazan helicopter plant company, KER-Holding engineering company, AK bars Shipbuilding Corporation and others.
The parties noted that Turkmenistan and Tatarstan expand their cooperation due to the agreements that they sign during regular meetings. The aforesaid agreements concern some joint projects in the chemical sector, delivery of automotive equipment, industrial cooperation, as well as education and others.
During regular meetings, Turkmenistan and Tatarstan signed a number of documents that are the basis for effective interaction and cooperation for implementation of new projects in various sectors of the economy.
In general, Turkmenistan devotes attention to cooperation with Russia’s regions and cities, in particular with Tatarstan, Astrakhan and Saint Petersburg.
