Iran to extend flights to international routes

The head of the Iran Aviation Organization announced the possibility of increasing flights to international routes.

"Flights in foreign routes are being operated by the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines,” Touraj Dehghani Zanganeh stated referring to the latest situation of foreign flights, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Routes are extended by adding flights to Germany last week," he added.

Referring to flights to Turkey, he says that there are 2 daily flights from Iran to Turkey and 2 flights from Turkish Airlines to Iran. “If the negotiations are concluded, the number of flights will increase next week.”

Regarding the flight to Iraq, which was suspended recently he says that a permit was issued to Iraqi Airways to be able to transfer Iraqi citizens in Iran.

“We are looking for Iranian companies to be licensed to operate flights to Iraq in the near future,” he added.

Pointing out the health protocols for the airlines, the head of the Civil Aviation Organization said that "As previously reported, the planned social distancing must be observed from mid-November.
