Less than 25 percent of passengers from January through July 2021 were transported by the National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (Kazakhstan Railways) on socially significant interregional railway communications, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan.
"The volume of passenger traffic on socially significant interregional railway communications, according to Kazakhstan Railways from January through July 2021, amounted to 3.8 billion pkm (passenger-kilometers) out of the planned volume of 15.3 billion pkm", - follows from the report of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan.
According to the document, the volume of passenger traffic on socially significant air routes during the reporting period amounted to 32 percent of the plan for 2021.
