Cargo movements in Iran’s Genaveh port down

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) decreased by 14 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 7,800 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port in the ninth month. About 3,100 tons of cargo were loaded and 4,700 tons were unloaded.

Also, 1,120 tons of cargo were exported and 360 tons were imported through the Genaveh port during the reporting month, the statistics said.

Within the 9th month, 1,900 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,560 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

In addition, 1,780 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment, as well as, 78 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,010 tons were unloaded for other purposes in the 9th month.

In total, 1,120 tons of construction and mining materials, 4,830 tons of small and assorted products and 1,860 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the 9th month of the current Iranian year.

About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
