Kazakh president arrives in Tehran for Caspian Sea summit

( Irna ) - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived here Monday morning at the head of a high-ranking delegation to attend the summit of the Caspian Sea littoral states due to kick off here Tuesday.

The president and his entourage were welcomed at Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.

In addition to participating in the summit, President Nazarbayev is to discuss Tehran-Astana relations as well as their bilateral, regional and international cooperation in meetings with senior Iranian officials.

He is expected to sign several agreement on Iran-Kazakhstan cooperation in different fields.
