Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has passed a scheduled medical examination in a hospital abroad and will return to Kazakhstan, a source in Astana told KazTAG agency.
"The president took a preventive medical examination at a clinic abroad and will return to the country in the coming days", the source said by phone on Wednesday.
The interlocutor said that "this is running practice."
"Nazarbayev passes a preventive medical examination twice a year: once in the country and once abroad", he explained.
He also added that "there was no urgent hospitalization and no surgical intervention."
As the presidential press office reported on July 11, "President Nursultan Nazarbayev is on a short vacation."
