There is no prompt decision on revival of Afghanistan, the EU Special Representative for Afghanistan Vygaudas Usackas believes.
"There is no prompt decision on revival of Afghanistan taking into account the internal state of society and external dynamics associated with the situations in neighboring countries. We should have a realistic approach that can be achieved in Afghanistan," Usackas said in an interview with Trend on the sidelines of the 12th meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan in Astana.
He recalled that the international community and especially the European Union pay attention to creating of Afghanistan's own security force and police force until 2018.
"And today in Astana we need to hold discussions so that the world community and Afghanistan assumed general obligations to build economic space. As is known, Afghanistan has huge mineral resources, which are estimated at more than three trillion dollars," Usackas said.
