Eleven border guards illegally left territory of Tersayryk frontier post in the Eastern Kazakhstan in the morning on June 18, Kazinform quotes the country's Border Service under the National Security Committee as reporting.

The border guards were drafted in November 2011.

Being aware of this fact, the border post chief tried to find them and reported about the incident to the command only in the evening.

At the moment, search operations are underway.

Additional detachments of border guards ensure security on the scene.
According to preliminary data, the incident resulted from hazing.

A criminal case was filed on the fact of negligence and abuse of power against the military unit's command.
